This is what I wore for going to the zoo and then driving into the mountains when the forecast said rain all afternoon. My tactic was to put on the most comfortable items I had packed, and then jazz it up with a statement necklace. Voila! Instant outfit!
In all honesty, I was clueless about what to pack for the trip so I just threw a bunch of things in my suitcase and thought I’d figure it out later. We had no agenda before the trip, so I just brought along some easy dresses, jeans, casual tops, cardigans, and flat shoes. I didn’t bring a single pair of heels, which worked out perfectly because I never needed them!
We had a fabulous and really laid back time. I can’t express how gorgeous the views were up in the mountains, but the pictures speak for themselves! I also really enjoyed Denver has a whole. Their downtown is pretty and clean, the neighborhood we stayed in had some charming restaurants and stores, the weather totally blew my mind (all I know is hot and hotter, so I’m easy to please), and there were tons of fun things to do with the kiddos.
Traveling is absolutely one of my favorite hobbies. I love going to new places and experiencing cool things I’d never get to see and do in Houston. Every time I come back from a vacation, I feel totally rejuvenated and optimistic. Sometimes it’s easy to forget that there is a whole other world outside of our day to day lives. It’s so neat to think that there are endless possibilities to where our lives will take us. I choose to live in Houston because I love it, but if I really wanted, I could go wherever I wanted. Isn’t that just really exciting to think about? Or am I just a total oddball?
